Transforming Global Supply Chain Operations at Mars Wrigley

Food & Confectionery (FMCG) • Global Implementation

    Challenge

Mars Wrigley implemented Kinaxis Maestro™ as their new planning system and needed to develop comprehensive training materials to support the transformation. The programme required practical Maestro systems training for end-user planners across the organisation.

Beyond core system training, the organisation needed to upskill more than 200 associates on end-to-end supply chain planning and new roles, whilst ensuring high engagement and confidence from day one of go-live.

    Solution

Grange was introduced by the System Integrator to the Mars Wrigley programme team to support the development of training materials. The partnership evolved to deliver:

    • Practical Maestro systems training for end-user planners
    • Upskilling on end-to-end supply chain planning and new organisational roles
    • Tailored business simulation for 200+ associates delivered at the launch conference
    • Practical scenario handshake trainings between demand, supply, and material planners during user adoption

The programme team benefited from practical outside-in thinking, advice, and learnings from Grange's experience of previous Maestro implementations.

    Impact

The partnership delivered significant outcomes that set Mars Wrigley up for a successful go-live:

    Practical, Relevant Training

Planners received hands-on training building confidence from day 1

    High Engagement

Strong engagement across the organisation prior to go-live

    Well-Received Material

Training material was very well received by participants

    Outside-In Thinking

Programme team gained insights from previous Maestro implementations

The practical, scenario-based approach ensured planners were fully confident and engaged with their new Maestro system from day one of go-live.

    An Evolving Partnership

What began as support for training material development quickly evolved into a comprehensive enablement partnership:

    • Practical Maestro training sessions
    • Supply chain capability development
    • Best practices from Maestro programs
